Mathematics

In our math programme, children acquire mathematical concepts and skills in fun and meaningful ways. With the use of manipulatives and learning aids, number sense is established as the foundation to successful learning of math.

Through hands-on activities, concepts of measurement, comparing, ordering, sorting and classifying, patterning and shapes are taught. These skills pave the way for the development of thinking processes necessary for future learning in areas of algebra and geometry.

Grouping and separating of numbers, fractions, addition, subtraction and multiplication are taught at K2 level. Children are also encouraged to use mathematical skills acquired in daily activities like telling time and counting money.
